Welcome to my blog
A blog with two strings
I love the web but it confuses the god dam hell out of me.
It's not that I have just signed up to my first dial up package or anything, I have been on the net for several years now - I've even done a website design course (he says proudly, clutching his certificate)!
No it confuses me because, I don't know if you've noticed, but it is absolutely, incomprehensibly, HUMUNGOUS! It's currently stuck together with over 100 million sites and there's quite a lot of people looking at those sites, over 1 billion of us!
I didn't find out those facts by doing a large survey...I googled it and it took 1 minute. We are now well and truly in the information age and you can find out anything you want from the internet. If only I was still in school, my homework would be better and I could have done it in record time.
My point is this, if the internet is a book with a bazillion pages in it and you know there is a couple of paragraphs in it that might be useful to you, where do you start? Probably the contents page. For the purpose of this rather long explanation, we'll call the 'contents' page, 'Google'. So you use Google and 99% of the time you get to read that paragraph, maybe after a bit of extra searching. But my friends, what about the 1% of the book you didn't get to see. That 1% of the time you didn't find what you were looking for, there was almost definitely a site out there that would have been perfect but just didn't make it to the Google first page or dare say even the second page.
That's why I'm here people - I'm in it for the 1%.
Anytime you can't find a site that you were looking for you come to me and there's every chance that I'm not going to know about it either. However I might have just the thing you were looking for, or possibly something that is better than what you were looking for originally which might make you forget about the thing you were looking for in the first place. Sounds good huh?
The 1% list is a collection of sites which people have told me about and I have found on the internet over the years which I think belong in everyones Favourites list. They are not so much sites with pretty pictures on, for example porn sites (please keep reading) or even sites with interesting stuff on, they are just sites that I find really useful that I think other people should know about.
In this blog not only do you get full unlimited viewing rights to the 1% List in all it's glory (possibly ahead of myself considering I haven't listed a single link yet), but you also get regular updates on my exciting personal internet adventures.
I shall take a minute to reveal a second string to my bow...and this blog. The reason why I love the internet so much is purely the opportunity it brings to everyone, whether businesses or individuals. Never before have you been able to reach thousands of people the world over with so little time, money and effort. My one main thought behind this statement - money*.
When I was just a customer on the internet, playing around surfing, looking at interesting stuff - porn sites etc... (said I wouldn't list them, not that I didn't like them), I kept noticing out of the corner of my eye what seemed like endless ways of making money on the internet from home.
I knew I liked money and something inside me told me that I would enjoy sitting around at home, so I put the beers away and started to investigate. Surprisingly most of the guaranteed money making, ' a monkey with one arm could do it', 'opportunties' that I come accross are complete bull$%&t but occasionly you latch on to something which turns out to put some pennies in your pocket.
For some of you who have tried to make money on the internet, even this blog may now be starting to sound like a sales pitch. Possibly you've even scrolled to the bottom to see how much it costs. Hopefully you haven't found a price, I say hopefully due to the slim chance my words have been hyjacked and are now promoting an ebook on ebay, and no, don't worry, I'm not trying to sell you anything.
What this blog is also about, as well as the infamous, essential 1% List (this list had better be good...), is my day to day experience of making money online. You get to read about the multitude of highs and lows as I harness the power of the internet to make some extra money.
You can take my words as advice and copy my ideas to make money yourself (just sending me 50% by cheque monthly is fine) or you can simply read about my fabulous lifestyle and the time when I buy my first superyacht. Of course the flipside to my millionaire lifestyle is you could pop by my blog and after months of failed attempts you read about me pulling out my last clump of hair.
Either way I'm sure we'll have a fun ride.
* Some people say that money is the route of all evil. I on the other hand do not. I tend to side with the people who say money makes the world go round and I think evil people are the route of all evil.
